Start your journey at the Vegueta market, in the historic quarter of Las Palmas. A real gem where history meets commerce, this market is an unforgettable feast for the senses. Lovers of seafood and freshly caught fish will be in their element at the Arguineguín market. Set along the seafront, it offers an unrivalled maritime food experience – but you’ll also find some local crafts, plus souvenirs and all kinds of clothing.

Puerto de Mogán market

Although Puerto de Mogán is one of my favourite places in Gran Canaria, I have to admit its market left me a bit disappointed. You’ll find all sorts of imported clothes, perfumes, towels and bags. Thankfully, a few artisans are still there to show off their handmade products, but not many. Puerto de Mogán is a very pretty town that’s still well worth a visit, though.

San Lorenzo market
