What happens on a try dive?

What You’ll Experience:

  • You will be in a small group of 4 divers maximum per instructor.
  • The dives will take place in a sheltered bay, away from any wind, current or waves and where you will not venture more than 6m
  • The dive is conducted by an experienced instructor, who will make you feel looked after and safe before you begin. You will start with exercises on the surface, then little by little your instructor will get you to a point where you feel comfortable for about 40min of diving.
  • All equipment will be provided to you.

ABOUT FREEDIVING

What is it?

Freediving, or breath-hold diving, is a discipline that lets you explore the underwater world relying solely on your breath. Unlike scuba diving with tanks, freediving focuses on relaxation, breath control, and a deep connection with the underwater environment. Our freediving courses are suitable for all levels, teaching you how to manage pressure, improve your swimming technique, and explore safely. It’s a unique way to connect with nature while taking on a personal challenge.

Did you know that?

To study the underwater world, Alexander the Great built in 325 BC a watertight barrel open on one side only, which once well pressed under water trapped an air bubble. This barrel was named “Colympha” and became the first man-made instrument for practicing scuba diving.

    Try dives :

    We offer two different dive sites:

    – Costa Teguise :

    For a single dive, you’ll explore a natural pool with a depth of 4–5 metres, where you can see a variety of fish species – some in schools, others on their own – all in their natural habitat! This site is perfectly suited to children, new divers who are a little apprehensive, or for those who simply wish to discover the sensation of breathing underwater and the feeling of weightlessness.

    – Puerto del Carmen :

    For the 2-dive option, you’ll visit Lanzarote’s top dive site. Your first dive takes you to 5–6 metres, followed by a second dive that can go as deep as 12 metres. These waters are full of life, from parrot fish to octopus, and if you add a pinch of good luck, you can come across seahorses, stingrays or even the emblem of Lanzarote, the angel shark, a harmless species of bottom feeding shark that finds refuge in our waters, because unfortunately elsewhere it is very seriously endangered.

    Price :

    – 1 dive of about 40 minutes: €75 (afternoons only in Costa Teguise, meet at 14:30, finish around 17:00)
    – 2 dives of about 40 minutes each: €115 (mornings only in Puerto del Carmen, meet at 08:30 in Costa Teguise or 09:00 on site, finish around 12:30)

    Courses:

    They usually take place in Costa Teguise or Puerto del Carmen.

    You will need to start with the Open Water course, which takes place over 3 half-days and then allows you to dive independently up to a maximum depth of 18 meters. It’s cheaper than an introductory dive, with a price of €485.

    Next comes the Advanced Adventurer course, where you will begin to explore different diving specialties, such as wreck dives, deep dives, night dives, etc. The price is €380, or €350 if you have your own equipment, and you will complete 5 dives.

    To continue on to the Diver Stress & Rescue course, which offers you training in first aid specific to the diving world, it is a very interesting and fun course and is essential if you wish to become a diving professional. Its price is €385, or €345 if you have your own equipment.

    In Spain, dive insurance is mandatory. If you don’t have it, we offer it at €7 per day or €16 for one week.

    The dives are done from the shore, but there are also extraordinary sites to discover from a boat. For 2 dives, there is an additional cost of €25 from Puerto del Carmen, €40 from Playa Blanca, or €85 to dive at La Graciosa (ferry included).

    Free shuttle service available on request for scuba diving.

    Regarding the freediving:

    Freediving Discovery (AIDA 1): Perfect for beginners, this introductory course teaches you the basics of freediving. You’ll learn the essential techniques of breathing, relaxation, and freediving swimming, while experiencing the unique sensations of this discipline.

    • Duration : 3 to 3.5 hours
    • Price : €95

    AIDA 2 Course (Equivalent to Level 1): This course is the first full freediving certification level. Here you’ll learn advanced techniques such as static apnea, free immersion, and constant weight diving. The theory covers key aspects such as physiology, safety, and the different freediving disciplines.

    • Duration: 3 full days or 5 mornings
    • Cost : €370

    AIDA 3 Course (Advanced Level): For those who want to go further, this course builds on your freediving skills with techniques such as free fall and advanced equalisation. You’ll explore greater depths and refine your knowledge of underwater safety and physiology.

    You’ll need to go directly to the site agreed the day before.

    The dive lasts about 40 minutes and costs €89.

    To make the most of the experience, the 2-dive package costs €135.

    Courses:

    You’ll need to start with the Open Water course, which takes place over 3 half-days and then allows you to dive independently to a maximum of 18m — and for less than a try-dive, it costs €455.

    Next comes the Advanced Adventurer, where you’ll start exploring different diving specialties, such as wreck, deep, and night dives. The price is €345 and includes 5 dives.

We offer two different dive sites:

– Costa Teguise :
