Yes, in many cases it’s possible, as long as you follow a few simple rules. Here’s what you need to know to decide with peace of mind.
Children: height, age and where they sit
2-seater buggy
Minimum height 1.35 m to sit in the passenger seat. This ensures the seatbelt sits correctly and the passenger is held securely.
4-seater and 6-seater buggies
In the back, we accept children from age 2. We can lend you a baby seat on request.
A useful tip from experience: from about age 5, children can see the scenery better and enjoy it more. Below that, their view may be limited, and some children can find it a bit much – the noise, the dust or the bumps – depending on their personality.
Practical tips for families
- Explain how it works before you set off: helmet, goggles, convoy, breaks.
- Bring water, a small snack and a neck gaiter if your children are sensitive to dust.
- Lead by example: seatbelts fastened and goggles on at all times.
Health issues: what you need to consider
Comfort level and track conditions
The tour is a relaxed drive, but some sections are rough. The buggies are comfortable, but it does get a bit bumpy off-road.
When to give it a miss
- Pregnancy: not suitable.
- Serious back problems or unstable spinal conditions: best avoided.
- High sensitivity to dust or breathing problems triggered by dust: not recommended.
Common sense and precautions
- If you’re unsure, message us before booking and talk to your doctor if needed.
- The guide adapts the pace to the terrain. Let them know if you need a gentler pace.
Safety and comfort for everyone
Equipment provided
Ski-mask-style protective goggles are provided and fit over prescription glasses. Rain gear is available if needed.
Driving reminders
- It’s not a race. Keep a comfortable distance to reduce dust and stay safe.
- Both hands on the wheel with thumbs on the outside, so you don’t hurt yourself if the wheel jerks over a bump.
