During the trip, you&#8217;ll also benefit from a <strong>French, English or Spanish-speaking<\/strong> guide, who will be delighted to give you <strong>all the info you need about the island<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Once on land, <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">enjoy 2.5 hours<\/span> of free time<\/strong> to explore the island at your own pace \u2014 there\u2019s something for everyone: beaches, hiking trails, lagoons\u2026 it\u2019s up to you! Just note that some visitors find the time a little short. Here is what I recommend on Lobos island:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Climb Monta\u00f1a de La Caldera<\/strong> (127 m): a 20 to 25 minute walk up from the junction, for a superb view over Fuerteventura, the Corralejo dunes and Lanzarote.<\/li><li><strong>Swim at La Concha beach<\/strong>, with calm, shallow water that&#8217;s perfect for families.<\/li><li><strong>Walk to the Punta Marti\u00f1o lighthouse<\/strong>, first lit in 1865, in the north of the island.<\/li><li><strong>See the old Marrajo salt pans<\/strong> and the small lagoons near El Puertito.<\/li><\/ul><p>The trail around the island is about 8 km long: allow 1 to 3 hours depending on your pace, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/caminosnaturales.es\/es\/red-de-caminos-naturales\/camino-detalle\/sector-canario\/fuerteventura\/etapa1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official Caminos Naturales network<\/a>. With 2.5 hours on site, pick either the Caldera or the beach.
